28.06.2025 noisio music & noise devices soldering workshop

  • €10,00
    Unit price per
Tax included.

We are happy to host a workshop by Steffen Koritsch aka noisio, an artist, musician, electronics engineer and programmer based in Dresden. At this workshop you could build any of noisio devices listed below. There will be a 12pm and an 3pm slot for building plus time for a jam session later in the evening.

Rough Schedule

  • 12:00-14:00 — first building slot
  • 14:00-15:00 — break
  • 15:00-17:00 — second building slot
  • 17:00 onwards — hangout and jam

Booking and Payment

Please choose one of the slots and book on this page. Please pay the cost of kits you are building (minus 10€ booking fee) in cash at the workshop.

Levitation Oscillator

69,00€

With its 10 oscillators, the Levitation OSC produces spherical sounds and beats, down to the very deepest sub-basses. Sine and sawtooth are available as waveforms in a wide frequency range. In addition to additive synthesis, there are optional noisio-typical 8-bit register overflows for chaotic sound calculation. Beside of this you can play with simple FM synthesis and a one button random chime generator. A signal to the Trigger In or pressing the corresponding button will act as a gate.

The new version of the Levitation Oscillator (v2) offers a housing entirely made of PCBs and the option of powering the device with USB-C. Also there is now the possibility to choose between normal and ducking gate mode.

ATtiny Punk Console

59,00€

The ATtiny Punk Console (ATPC) is a programmable 8-bit mini synthesizer. From Noise Toy, Drum Sound Generator, Atari Punk Console to Drone Generator - many things are possible! The latest edition of the ATtiny Punk Console now offers a choice of 10 synth algorithms at startup, 3x CV Inputs, a new housing made entirely from printed circuit boards and the option of powering the device with USB-C.

Further features:

  • 3x powered CV inputs with red mini jack sockets on the front panel
  • Gate input or output (defined by choosed algorithm) - protected against overvoltage/ negative input
  • Body contacts parallel to the potentiometers
  • Analog output and filter section
  • 6.35 and 3.5mm jack sockets connected in parallel

AT LFO/EG

27,00€
80,00€ in set with ATPC v4 and 1x Stereo 3.5mm audio cable

Maybe the smallest LFO (Low Frequency Generator) and envelope generator module (ADSR) in one. 68mm x 45mm, 5V-level. Powered by ATPC v4, ATBase or to use standalone with USB to stereo mini jack adapter.

The LFO/EG can be operated as a 5 volt low frequency oscillator or envelope generator. You can set the mode by pressing the button at startup. In LFO-mode 5 waveforms are available: Square, Sine, Triangle, Ramp-Up, Ramp-Down. Furthermore, speed, modulation depth and bias (average value) can be set. As an envelope generator, the module can process the classic parameters attack, decay, sustain and release. The signal can be triggered via the gate input or the button. The LFO/EG can either be connected directly to the noisio synths via the red jack or can be used standalone with any CV capable device and a USB to mini jack adapter.

AT Keys

39,00€

Monophonic 5V Control Voltage Keyboard. The ATKeys module generates 5 octaves as a CV signal with 0-5V = 1V per octave. Two octaves can be selected via the octave potentiometer and are available over 24 keys. When a button is pressed, a gate signal is sent to the output. This can be switched to a continuous signal using the latch switch.

The device can either be connected directly to the ATBase via the red 3.5mm audio socket or supplied with power using a USB to mini jack adapter and used for an external CV-capable device.

---

AT Midi2CV

28,00€

Midi to CV (control voltage) and clock signal converter. Receive 5 octaves over 5 volts in 0.83V steps, with MIDI note input from #24 (C0) to #84 (C5). A 5V signal corresponding to Note On / Note Off is output at the gate output.

The clock signals can be divided with the potentiometer and reset by entering or pressing the push button.

The ATtiny45 module can be supplied with power via ATBase or via a USB to stereo mini jack adapter.

Please be aware ⚠️ This kit is in experimental state. The hardware of the CV module works well, but the software still needs to be fine-tuned. Basic functionality is given, but it is not stable at higher amounts of incoming notes.

Photonotron

24,00€ (Small version without speaker)

Theremin-like instrument controlled by light with 2 voices and some special chaos & sound effects. A perfect kit for soldering beginners. Functions: Blend from sine to square wave generator or switch to chaos arpeggiator mode. The latest version (v3) is now even smaller and has a nice FM synthesis sound option added. Powered by 3xAAA batteries with output via 3.5mm TRS-jack socket.
