Neckbrace MKII is a three-stage OTA phaser that pushes beyond the territory of typical phasers. Its simple controls allow you to easily create anything from subtle sweeping phase to extreme jet-star-screaming modulation. For those who are looking for an alternative to the classic orange box, look no further. Neckbrace MKII gives a more full and lush sound. The extended LFO range allows you to dial in slow creeping modulation as long as 17 seconds cycle time.

MKII now features a digital LFO that allows for more precise control and the addition of a ramping feature. Hold down the footswitch to dynamically change the modulation rate - if your rate is under halfway, the rate will be maxed out, or if your rate is above halfway, the rate will be set to minimum. Slow down for leslie-like drifts in rate, or speed up for quick jumps in speed.

Controls

  • Mix: Sets the balance of your dry signal and modulated signal. Goes from full dry to fully-wet phase vibrato. Traditional phase sounds can be found with the knob set around noon.
  • Rate: Sets how fast or slow the LFO is. Works in conjunction with the Speed toggle.
  • Speed toggle: Sets the speed range for the LFO. Set down, the rate knob goes from a glacial pace to moderate amounts of movement. Set up, the rate knob goes from pretty fast to near-audio rates. Set to the center, the rate is the fastest, sitting in audio rates to create pseudo ring mod tones.
Note: the slower setting may take a moment for modulation to begin on startup.
  • Footswitch: Toggles bypass. Hold down the footswitch while the pedal is engaged to trigger ramping.
  • Ramping Time (Rate secondary control): Adjusts ramping time. While holding down the footswitch turn the Rate knob to the desired ramp time. With the knob at minimum the speed change will be instant, with it at maximum it will take 10 seconds to come to speed.   Loud (internal trim): Output gain of the pedal, only adjust if needed. Can be used to add quite a bit of boost if desired.
  • Mode (internal switch):  Sets the action of the footswitch hold. Stock it will come set up for ramping, Setting the switch down will activate momentary bypass.
